Coins Bicentennial 2010 Argentina

The new coins of 1 peso released by the Central Bank of Argentina, BCRA, with designs Bicentennial alluding to the Fatherland. Outstanding will be approximately 300 coins commemorating the bicentennial, with patterns in 5 versions, and on the front will contain the image of regions of our country, the Pucara de Tilcara the Palmar de Colón, the Aconcagua , Mar del Plata and the Perito Moreno Glacier .
The Central Bank noted that these new coins:

"coexist in circulation with coins of 1 peso to the traditional series."

They will be distributed gradually through bancos: “La partida inicial, a ser distribuida durante el mes de junio, constará de 60 millones de unidades, compuestos por 12 millones de cada uno de los cinco diseños elegidos”. En el interior del país serán distribuidas por el Banco de la Nación Argentina.

La serie lanzada está integrada por 5 versiones, en cuyo anverso se verán una imagen de regiones de la República Argentina como Pucará de Tilcara de la provincia de Jujuy, una imagen de los lobos marinos de Mar del Plata, Glaciar Perito Moreno de la provincia de Santa Cruz, El Palmar de Colón de la provincia de Entre Ríos, y el Aconcagua de la provincia de Mendoza.
